Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

Hi Everyone

I have been deceiving myself that I am still sick and needed more rest. But honestly it’s just me in my festive mood and pure laziness. Thus the lack of posts.

I here today with a product from Laneige!~ I don’t know where I saw the rave about this product from, but I have been wanting to try this product for ages!~

When I got a chance to go to Korea for holiday, I didn’t get it and got something else.
I wanted to try this so badly, I got my cousin to get me one from Korea when she went there about a week or 2 after I came home.

You can get Laneige products in Singapore, but they are more expensive here.

I believe if you get it in Singapore, the words will be in English.

Product Description,
Light gel-type texture provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation.

You actually get a full tub of product.

I was expecting it to not fill to the brim. But it turns out to be filled to the brim.

Totally understood what the sales assistant told me “ Can use for 8 months”

Although in the tub it looks blue, when you have the product on your skin, it just look like a normal gel like product.

After moisturizing your face, get a small amount of product and apply it onto your face.

The product goes on transparent and after a while, it kind of dries(?) on your skin, and will not stain your pillows and bedsheets.

My Thoughts

When I first heard about water sleeping packs, I’ve never really seen any other brands carrying this kind of product. Laneige was the only one to have it, within my reach, at that point of time.

I guess over the years, It has became more common in stores!~

As mentioned above, I’ve seen much raves, good reviews, on this product and really wanted to try this for the longest time. I didn’t want to spend $40+ on a mask, so I haven’t got it until half a year ago.

After trying it out for a few months, I’ve grown to really like this product. There are of course flaws to this product, but on the whole, I really like it.

This product is suppose to provide intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation, but I feel that it doesn’t work that way only with the mask.

I don’t find this mask giving the amount of hydration I want if I hadn’t apply any moisturizer before hand.

It does brighten your skin, because it gives additional hydration on top of your moisturizer keeping dull dry skin at bay and thus brighter looking skin.

It does also relaxes my skin, I have no idea if it’s because of the ingredients or the scent of it. But I really like the scent in it, it gives off a really relaxing feeling. I notice that I’ll feel more relaxed after a long stressful day.

My only complain about this product, which doesn’t aid with my laziness, is that it doesn’t moisturize as well without a moisturizer underneath.

I think this product works much better as a hydration locking  mask than a hydrating mask itself.

PROs

  1. Pleasant scent (Light powdery floral)
  2. Doesn’t leave residue-like feeling after few minutes of application
  3. Locks moisture in your skin the entire night, leaving skin smoother and softer the next day
  4. Brightens skin (elimates dullness cause by dry skin)

CONs

  1. Cannot be applied alone without a moisturiser underneath

Will I recommend it?

I would if you’re sleeping in a air-conditioned environment at night. It helps to reduce the moisture loss to the air con.

I feel that this product is more of a pamper to your skin than a must have. Because of it’s price, in Singapore, I was actually hoping that this product does much better than just locking moisture and brighten your skin.

But I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t recommend this product too. I still would, but I wouldn’t strongly recommend.

So for people who are as lazy as me and want a sleeping pack that will moisturize and brighten your skin without much effort, this is definitely not the mask for you.

This retails for SGD$45(80ml) at our local Laneige counters and store(Ion)

I’m intending to try those cheaper sleeping packs at Etude House sometime in the near future. If there is any brands sleeping packs you know of and want to recommend, leave them in the comments section!!(:

Thanks for reading!!~
